FOR EVERYONE WHO WISHES TO BECOME A GREATER PART OF MAIDSTONE’S COMMUNITY.

We are very happy to open a coffee shop for all in Maidstone. We want to inspire both the creative and international community. Our aim is to provide a homely space for all the nice and friendly people who want to be a part of Maidstone’s community. You!
You may either just come along to enjoy the company of other beautiful people you'll meet or you'll come with an idea, a skill, a passion you want to share or talk about with our little community.
We actively invite local artists to display their artwork in our coffee shop.
We’d love to hear from poets and story tellers who would want to share their written artwork at evening events.
And we would be more than happy to host acoustic musicians who want to practise a little bit or who are looking for like-minded people to jam together.

We know that Maidstone is a popular destination for au pairs and other international young adults. Having been involved over the last years in this exciting group we highly value the potential of connecting different cultures from around the world and learn about other people’s life and understanding of it.
Coming to another country is always a very brave decision and we know how difficult it can be in the beginning to get in touch with the local community. Therefore we encourage everyone new to come to Matestone to meet other people in similar situations and/or to get involved in shaping Maidstone’s community.
No one should be alone if they don’t want to. Matestone is a place where all generations and nationalities will find an environment where everyone is welcomed and looked after.
WHO WE ARE
I am Sandra, from Germany. At the end of 2018 I moved to Maidstone after being with George since autumn 2015. When I came here the first time I met so many beautiful people who gave me such a warm welcome that it was an easy decision to turn my back to my hometowns Berlin and Dresden.
Nevertheless I felt there is something missing in Maidstone. Something I was so used to during my studies in Dresden: a place for people from your neighbourhood, your community. But not only a simple coffee shop like many other chain companies - I was dreaming of a place which encourages other people to come together, to start talking to each other, to share their skills and thoughts, to be an active part in shaping a welcoming and open community in Maidstone.
Therefore I am overly happy to have George by my side who is as much in love with this idea as I am and more important is brave enough to go through this amazing adventure with me.
George is currently so busy in the shop that he couldn't find the time to write something about himself.
So just come along to our coffee shop and find out yourself. George is always happy to have a chat with everyone who is respectful and friendly.
